Weev InSite EV Charging software, your questions answered.

Real answers to the questions every person managing EV charging at workplaces is asking right now.

How do I charge my staff for using company chargers?

InSite gives you full control of setting tariffs. You can offer:

•        Free charging as an employee benefit

•        Subsidised rates (e.g. you cover 50%, staff pay 50%)

•        Full cost recovery, staff pay the going rate, paid automatically on the My Weev App.

•        Different rates for different employee groups

All of it is automated.

There are no spreadsheets, no manual reconciliation, no end-of-month headaches. InSite manages the billings and payments whilst giving you the reports.

Does InSite work with the chargers I've already installed?

In most cases, yes. InSite supports OCPP 1.6 and OCPP 2.0.1. These are the two communication protocols used by the vast majority of EV chargers on the market today. If your chargers are OCPP-compatible, InSite can manage them.

Not sure if your hardware qualifies? Send us the model and we'll check. It's a two-minute conversation.

How do I migrate my existing back office to InSite?

We handle it. Our team maps your existing charge point configurations, migrates your charger data, transfers your user accounts, and tests everything before you go live, with no downtime to your chargers during the process.

Most migrations are completed within a few business days. You'll have a dedicated Weev contact throughout, and we won't sign it off until you're completely happy with how everything looks in your new InSite dashboard.

Already using another platform? We've migrated clients from several major CPMS providers. Just ask us and we'll tell you exactly what's involved for your setup.

Can I manage chargers across multiple sites from one dashboard?

That's exactly what InSite was built for. Whether you have two office locations or twenty depots across Ireland and the UK, everything lives in one place: every charger, every session, every site live, in real time.

You can drill down to individual chargepoints or zoom out for a network-wide view. Set different access rules, tariffs and user groups per site. Pull aggregated reports across all locations with one click.

InSite currently manages charging across depots, airports, hotels, hospitals and housing developments from Belfast to Cork.

Can I generate revenue from my car park?

Absolutely. InSite's monetisation tools let you open your chargers to the public, set your own tariffs, accept contactless and card payments, and track revenue in real time through your dashboard.

Monthly payouts. Automated billing. Full session records. Your car park can pay for itself and then some.

One of our hospitality clients described it as: "The additional revenue is enabling us to grow new parts of the business." — Barney McGuckian

What makes InSite different from other CPMS platforms?

A few things that matter in practice:

•        InSite is built and supported by our local team, we understand the market, the grant schemes, and the regulations

•        We're not just a software company. Weev installs and maintains the hardware too. One provider, end to end

•        Our self-healing uptime technology means fewer faults, fewer call-outs, and less stress

•        We hold four ISO certifications : 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001. That's not standard in this industry.

•        24/7/365 support from a real team, not a ticketing bot.

Other platforms hand you a login and leave you to it. We stay involved.

What happens if a charger breaks down overnight?

InSite's self-healing technology monitors every charger continuously. When it detects a fault, it attempts to resolve it automatically, without anyone needing to pick up the phone. Most common errors are cleared remotely before your drivers even arrive in the morning.

If you need further support, our dedicated team is only a call away to resolve the fault.

What reporting does InSite provide?

InSite gives you real-time dashboards and downloadable reports covering:

•        Charging sessions by site, charger, driver or vehicle

•        Energy consumption (kWh) and cost data

•        Uptime and fault history

•        Revenue and billing summaries

•        CO₂ offset calculations for your ESG reporting

Export to CSV or PDF. Schedule automated monthly reports. Give different access levels to different team members.
