HMRC electric car charging benefit in kind.

Did you know that if you’re considering switching to an EV company car, the HMRC benefit-in-kind rates could apply to you?

Did you know that if you’re considering switching to an electric vehicle (EV) as a company car, the HM Revenue and Customs benefit-in-kind rates for EVs are highly favorable?

In the tax year 2025/26, HMRC has announced that the benefit-in-kind rates for EVs will be just 3%!

This represents a significant reduction compared to traditional combustion engine vehicles, making EVs an even more attractive option for company car drivers.

By opting for an electric company car, not only can you contribute to a cleaner environment, but you can also enjoy substantial tax savings.
