Get up to a maximum of £1 million for EV charging
The UK Government has launched a new Depot Charging Scheme Grant to cover 75% of chargepoint and civil costs, up to a maximum of £1 million across all sites. There is no limit to the number of sites you can apply for, but the scheme is limited to one application per organisation.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Eligibility:
To apply for this grant:
- You must be a registered fleet operator, operate in the UK, and have been doing so for at least 1 year at the time of the application.
- You must own your depot or have consent from your landlord for chargepoints to be installed at the site(s) listed in the application.
- You must own, lease, or order at least 1 battery electric van, HGV and/or coach as part of your vehicle fleet.
- You must be able to complete the installation of chargepoints at your depot site(s) by 31st March 2027.
- You must have sufficient grid capacity at your depot site(s) to support charging by 30th June 2026.
Key Dates:
- Scheme launch: 25th March 2026
- Scheme close: The grant will close either when funding has been exhausted or by 30th June 2026 (whichever is sooner).
All infrastructure works to be completed: 31 March 2027
