Weev has been announced as an official electric vehicle (EV) charging partner of the EV Rally 2023 – The Capital City Challenge, demonstrating its impressive network of charging infrastructure across Northern Ireland.
Weev charging points will be used to power the 50 electric vehicles that will be participating in the race, including electric cars, vans, motorcycles and HGVs.
This partnership highlights Weev’s steadfast commitment to supporting Northern Ireland in its transition towards a greener, more sustainable motoring future.
The EV Rally route covers the five capital cities across the UK and Ireland, starting in Cardiff, then London, Edinburgh, Belfast and finishing in Dublin.
Participants, including fleet professionals, key members of the industry and the media, will travel over 1,200 miles across the four days – starting on 3rd July until 7th July.
Weev charging points be utilised by drivers throughout the Northern Ireland stages of the event, including at McGuckian Milling Co, Cloughmills – home of the greenest ultra-rapid EV hubs.
Thomas O’Hagan, Chief Commercial Officer at Weev, said:
“As we move from strength to strength in providing best in class charging facilities for EV drivers and helping to combat climate change, we are proud to be an official partner of the EV Rally.
